| Comments: | I would like to THANK YOU for all your time and effort on this web-site, and I would like to make sure you know how much it has been appreciated. Your web-site was extreamly helpful in my family research. I am a decendent of William Antram. There are a couple of things I would like to point out in your bio on Darius Sessions; 1.William Antram is listed as Sarah Fenner first husband. To my conclusion William Antram and Sarah Fenner-Antram's last child was born 1736 (Abigail Antram born and died 1736) and Sarah Fenner died in 1736. Making Dr. John Jenckes, Sarah Fenner's first husband since their last child (Mary Jenckes) was born 1721, and William Antram and Sarah Fenner were married 1722,(it is my belief that William Antram was also married before to Abigail Franklin in Boston, but I have not verified this information yet), Sarah Antram (married to Darius Sessions) is the daughter of William Antram and Sarah Fenner since she was born 1724. 2. You also stated that the merchant business for Darius Sessions was unknown. I can only guess that since his Father in law and Brother in law (William Antram and William Antram Jr.) owned a distill house, Darius could have been involved with the export of the product. This is only a guess but it might be interesting to pursue (the Gaspee would be effecting his revenue). William Antram Jr. married Sarah Dean they had sons Francis Antram (named after Sarah Dean's father Francis Dean) and Darius Antram (named after Darius Sessions) and a daughter Sarah (Sally) Antram who married Josiah Snow (the last name spelling has varied to Antrem, Antrim, Antrum Anthram...) these children all born 1750's. I do not know much about them other then Darius did fight in Col Topham's Regiment in 1776, lived in Rehobeth afterward. Francis moved to Connecticut (this is my family line) If Farncis and Darius were in Rhode Island during the Gaspee, what were they doing? Were the involved in any way? Has their name come up anywhere? Since they were the nephews of Darius Sessions did they removed themselves or become involved in the situation? If you have any information on my family or know where I can find some of these answers, or anything else, I would appreciate the assistance and direction. Thank you again, Cherie Antrim-Bell |
